About the Award

Bangladesh Agro-Industry Media Award

The Bangladesh Agro-Industry Media aims to honor outstanding journalism that highlights the growth, innovation, and impact of Bangladesh’s agriculture and agro-processing sectors.

This initiative is part of PRAN Group’s continued effort to build awareness, foster informed reporting, and inspire journalists to explore the potential and challenges of the country’s agro-processing industry.

Eligibility

Journalists working in print, electronic (television), and online media are eligible to participate in the Bangladesh Agro-Industry Media Award 2025.

  • The submitted report must be published in a recognized media outlet between 16 November and 31 December 2025.
  • If a report is published in both print and online formats, participants are allowed to submit it under only one category.
  • All submissions must be made online through the official website: www.agromediaaward.com.
  • No hard copies or physical submissions will be accepted.

Award Categories & Prize

A total of seven outstanding journalists will be recognized under the following categories-

  • Print Media: 3 winners.
  • Online Media: 2 winners.
  • Television Media: 2 winners.

Total Number of Winners: 7.
Recognition: Crest and Prize Money

Selection Process

  • A three-member independent jury board, consisting of experts from journalism, agriculture, and industry, will evaluate all submitted reports
  • Evaluation Criteria: Each submission will be scored out of 100 marks (20 marks per criterion)

Scoring Areas:

Innovation – Creativity in topic selection, reporting approach, or use of new formats, tools, and storytelling methods to highlight agriculture or agro-processing issues
Impact – Relevance and contribution to public awareness or policy understanding.
Depth – Quality of analysis, research, and background information.
Accuracy – Factual correctness and balance of reporting.
Presentation – Clarity, storytelling, and engagement of readers/viewers.

  • The jury’s decision is final.

All participants must submit their reports through the website: www.agromediaaward.com
Print & Online Journalists: Upload scanned or PDF copies of their published report(s)
TV Journalists: Upload video reports via YouTube or Google Drive link through the website submission form
Deadline for Submission: 31 December 2025, 5:00 PM

Present Scenario – Growth trends, major industries, and value-chain overview.
Challenges in Agro-Processing – Raw-material sourcing, infrastructure, technology, and market access.
National Contribution – Role in GDP, export earnings, and rural development.
Employment Generation – Impact on rural and women employment, sustainable livelihoods.
Supply Chain & Logistics – Transportation, cold chain, storage, and port handling challenges.
Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) – Ensuring food safety and global competitiveness.
Financial Sector & Agro-Processing – Access to credit, investment barriers, and role of financial institutions.
Export Possibilities & Global Market – Expanding opportunities and branding “Made in Bangladesh.”
Role of Regulatory Authorities – How regulators support growth and development of the sector.
Policy Support & Way Forward – Government policies, incentives, and strategic roadmaps

Reports combining data, field insights, and human stories are highly encouraged.

Announcement of Winners

The winners will be announced in January 2026 at a special award-giving ceremony organized by PRAN Group.
All winners will be notified individually.
